420 Ton steam locamotive
Scrib's is proud to say we moved the largest steam locomotive that the Union Pacific has ever built. The UP was having a little trouble trying to figure out how to get 420 tons up an 11% grade hill using hydraulic trailers. They gave us a call and we stepped in! The locomotive traveled 1.8 miles through the streets of Omaha, Nebraska and up that 11% grade hill. This project was done entirely on steerable dollies, which allowed us to take 420 tons to a place special hydraulic trailers failed to do.
